Ten children have already died in England in what is thought to be the biggest outbreak of whooping cough since the 90’s. More cases are surging across our area, so it is important to get your children vaccinated to protect your child from rising cases of whooping cough (and measles).

All you must do is call the Grand Drive Surgery on 020 8542 5555 to find out when you can book an appointment with your GP practice. Routine vaccinations are free, and catch-up appointments can be booked also if your child misses a dose. It is also important for pregnant women to contact their GP practice if they have not been vaccinated because the best time to protect newborns from developing whooping cough is in the first few weeks of their lives. Keep yourself and your children safe and get the routine vaccinations in.
