Tidying up Rowan Park
As your local Labour councillors we know that our green spaces and recreation grounds are a core part of our community, particularly for our children to play in. They became especially precious to us during the COVID-19 lockdowns, and so it is very disappointing when some people drop litter and leave the area looking untidy. We have worked closely with the Greenspaces Team at Merton Council to take action on the litter issue at Rowan Park. It is currently visited on a weekly basis for litter clearance. At our request, repairs to the bridge have been made and a specialist team will be coming to clear the pond in the next few weeks.
If you want to join in with us, and help to make our community better, please contact your local councillors: brenda.fraser@merton.gov, ross.garrod@merton.gov.uk and marsie.skeete@merton.gov.uk.
We’d love to involve and include you in our community work.
