Find warm spaces across Mitcham & Morden

Mitcham & Morden

Merton Council and partner operations have opened many ‘warm spaces’ to help this winter. Residents can simply turn up at any of our seven libraries, three leisure centres, or the dozens of other designated Merton Warm Spaces and use the space through the colder months. You can find your nearest warm space here: www.warmwelcome.uk.

As well as offering a place to stay warm, our libraries also host a weekly coffee hour where they provide free coffee, tea and biscuits. Warm spaces are located in the following libraries:

  • Colliers Wood Library, 105-109 High Street, Colliers Wood SW19 2HR on Thursdays, 11.30am–12.30pm

  • Mitcham Library, 157 London Road, Mitcham CR4 2YR on Monday–Thursday, 10am–11am

  • Pollards Hill Library, South Lodge Avenue, Mitcham CR4 1LT on Tuesdays, 11.30am–12.30pm

  • Morden Library, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden on Thursdays, 10.30am–11.30am

Our libraries also hold hundreds of free events every month, with something for everyone, such as family-friendly film screenings, musical jam sessions, history talks or book clubs. And there’s a range of support available, including information on services such as debt advice, help with benefits, energy saving, and assistance getting online for those who may need extra support.
