The popular Parkrun has come to Morden. This popular, free, volunteer-led, running community event has options for a timed walk, jog, or 5k run for adults.

Parkrun is an opportunity for residents of all ages and abilities to not be judged on speed but bring people together in an active outdoor environment. Whether you come to walk, jog, or show off your running skills you will be cheered on and celebrated. Morden Parkrun is an opportunity to meet new people, make friends, and get involved in a supportive, uplifting community.

Your local MP member Siobhain McDonagh is elated by the local Labour Council efforts towards providing free local sporting activities to residents of all ages. These efforts are furthering Merton’s title of becoming London’s Borough of Sport and your Councillors intend to keep it that way.

If you are interested in this free parkrun, come on down to Morden Park, London Road, Morden, SM4 5QU. Occurring every Saturday at 9am, all you must do is register on the website or email morden@parkrun.com prior to your first Parkrun, www.parkrun.org.uk/morden/, and after your first Parkrun, all you need to do it show up for some outdoor fun.
