Get support as the Tory cost of living crisis continues to bite

Mitcham & Morden

The Tory Government has crashed the economy. Prices continue to rise and that means mortgage, rent and food prices are increasingly stretching everyone’s household budget. Merton’s Labour Council is helping residents by providing free school meal vouchers during the summer holidays, cash grants to people on low income, discounting Council Tax for the majority of residents and providing practical advice to help our community through this difficult time. If you are finding it tough come along to Labour Merton’s special cost of living advice days and pick up a free £10 supermarket voucher. The day will have advisors on debt and experts who can make sure you can get the benefits you are entitled to and help to reduce your energy bill.

The next event will be on Saturday 22nd July from 10.30am to 1.30pm at the Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, SM4 4DX. There will also be an advice day on Saturday 23rd September at Pollards Hill Library, South Lodge Avenue, CR4 1LT again from 10.30am to 1.30pm. To find out more, or to find out when the next cost of living event will be, please visit our special website: merton.gov.uk/CostOfLiving or call the Council on 020 8274 4901.
